PRE-ARRIVAL GROCERY STORE STOCKING We are happy to have your kitchen stocked with your order of groceries and drinks in advance of arrival. You may include beer, wine and liquor in your request. There is a modest fee for this service. We will add 20% to the grocery bill, with a minimum fee of $25. There is a $5 surcharge if your order requires stops at multiple stores (e.g. Whole Foods and Safeway) and store requested must be within 10 miles or less. Please submit your list to us by email to [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival. You may send the list in any format you'd like (Excel, Word, etc.). Please be sure to note the quantities desired and whether you have a brand preference. If no preference is stated, we will use our judgment and usually default to the leading brand. In order for us to undertake shopping for you, you will need to pay a deposit of $250 toward the grocery order. Once the order is completed, we will adjust this amount based on the actual spend. (Receipts will be provided for you.) Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance. ACCEPTANCE OF DELIVERIES & SHIPMENTS We are happy to receive deliveries for you before or during your stay. As a courtesy, we will receive up to 3 deliveries (requiring intervention or handling) per reservation free of charge. After the 3rd item, we will charge $8 per item to cover our labor costs. For homes with a locked mailbox, we are not able to access mail locked in the mailbox. To receive packages before or during your stay, please address the delivery exactly as follows. Note that you must include “The Humble Haven” on the label. If it is not included in the address, the package will be returned to the sender. YOUR NAME c/o The Humble Haven 5432 W. If you do plan to send items, please let us know in advance: - How many packages to expect - Where they are coming from - On what date they are expected to arrive Please note that we can’t be held responsible for any delivery delays or failures, nor damage to contents. Any items received after your departure will not be forwarded; they will be returned to sender. LOANER BABY EQUIPMENT We know how difficult it is to travel with little ones, and we are happy to take some of the stress off of your hands. The Humble Haven will loan you the following equipment free of charge: - Pack and play - Stroller (“umbrella style”) - Booster seat or high chair for dining table (based on availability and size of child) If you requested this equipment in your pre-stay registration form, it will be waiting for you in your home upon arrival. If you are already on site and would like to add any of these items, please email us at [email protected] Note that we do not provide baby gates for staircases, and our homes are not “baby-proofed” with respect to sharp corners, electrical outlets, etc. This home has a gas fireplace and if on, the fireplace glass gets extremely hot and can burn skin if touched. Adults will need to carefully watch their children and take appropriate precautions. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.
