Dear Future Owners of 3326 Pierce St. NE:

 

This home has been very good to us since we purchased it in 2011. It is a home full of many great memories for us. We lived here when we were married, and this is where we brought our first child home. When we first stepped foot in this house back in 2011, we were struck by the way that it felt—bright, well-cared for, and full of possibility.

 

Since we bought the house we’ve worked hard to make improvements to the space. We removed a lot of outdated carpet and wallpaper, refinished the beautiful red oak floors, completely remodeled the second story (including adding two closets and the bathroom, raising the ceilings, and adding built-in storage), remodeled the kitchen, and painted throughout. Our aim with these changes was to improve the usability of the space while maintaining the features that gave the house its original character—beautiful floors, high coved ceilings, glass door knobs, retro mid-century basement, and funky wallpaper in the back bedroom, to name a few! We replaced the furnace and air conditioning unit in 2013, the water heater in 2017, and all upstairs windows in 2012, so the house is running efficiently. We planted a vegetable garden in 2012, fenced in the backyard in 2016, and planted raspberry bushes and plum trees in 2017. 

 

We will really miss living in this neighborhood. The neighbors here are kind, generous, and helpful. The proximity to commerce available on Central Ave and nearby is so convenient—there is a wonderful bakery (Aki’s Bakery), great neighborhood grocery store (Eastside Food Co-op), top notch brewery (Fairstate), multiple nice coffee shops (Hill Valley Café, Anelace, and the Coffee Shop NE), and an exceptional butcher (Ready Meats). And for all of your other needs, this home is so close to the Quarry (Target, Home Depot, Cub, etc.).

 

The rich cultural and culinary life of the Twin Cities are also very accessible. This neighborhood is so close to the Northeast Arts District, St. Anthony Main, North Loop, and both downtowns. The historic Heights Theater is just up Central, and there are a variety of excellent restaurants and cafes a stone’s throw away. All of these amenities paired with the overwhelming number of parks and green space nearby make this neighborhood a truly unique pocket of the Twin Cities.

 

We have loved this home so much, and it will always be an important part of our family’s story. We hope that this home brings you as much joy as it has brought us, and we wish you many years of happiness here!
