To the new Owner of this Home:

We have loved 2236 Rice Creek Rd since the moment it popped up on our MLS search. The large open kitchen drew us right in. Our family gathers in the kitchen, and having a large center island is a huge bonus. Since owning the home we have replaced the kitchen flooring, upgraded appliances, added new lighting and refinished the cabinets in a fresh white.

Just off the kitchen is the brand new deck! This was completed just this spring and is the perfect place to have your morning coffee or to roast an evening marshmallow over the fire table. We find we spend more time lounging out there then in almost any other room now!

We have also completely renovated the lower level of the house over the past year. There is all new flooring, new carpet on the stairs, lovely built-in shelves in the family room and upgraded washer & dryer in the laundry room.  We turned the ¾ bath into a full bath with the addition of a large soaking tub.  We also removed what was a second small kitchen and turned it into a man-cave, but it could also be used as a 6^th bedroom.

New Brighton has been a lovely city to raise our daughter in. We enjoy many classes through the community center.  There are several locally owned restaurants right here in town. And parks upon parks upon parks! We are extremely close to Long Lake Regional Park where we enjoy hiking and swimming at the beach. There is a grocery store as well as a convenience store right at the end of street.  We are also not too far from 694 & 35W, so easy for commuting. Plus – our weekly farmer’s market is amazing!

The neighborhood is recently starting to turn.  More young families are moving in as retired folks are moving on. In fact, you’ll notice 3 older couples right on our street have all sold in the past month. A short walk around the block could take an hour after chatting with all the lovely neighbors.  We’ve really enjoyed our time here on Rice Creek.

So why move on? We have wanted to be closer to family for a long time. We only have 1 child, and we want her to grow up with her cousins, and thought moving before she starts school would be best. It’s just the right time for our family to start a new adventure in Wisconsin.
