5624 W Bavarian Pass NE: Q&A
with the Seller
1. What
compelled you to buy THIS house?
At the time we had two dogs and
we needed an area for them to play in but we didn't want the upkeep of a large
yard so the fenced in area for perfect for them. We also liked the
assurance of a townhouse covered by an association as they took care of any exterior
work on the property as well as plow the driveways during our harsh
winters. We also wanted somewhere with an open floor plan. When we had guests
over and we were in the kitchen, it was easy to interact with them in the
living room or dining room.
Also, that jacuzzi tub in the
downstairs bathroom was the best way to relax after a long day! We really miss
that thing.
The spacious garage was awesome.
We had two vehicles but still has space to work on projects in there.
2. What is it about this
house that makes it better than other homes? What can other homes not
match?
We love the light that comes into
the living room from the multiple windows! It's the perfect place to relax
on the weekend. The best, most cozy place to nap while watching TV! The
surrounding area is so quiet and peaceful. The neighbors are great
and many have been in community for a long time and really care for the area as
well as look out for you. We felt very safe living there.
We loved the fact it was
in-between Minneapolis and St. Paul. I worked downtown and it only took me 15
minutes each way to get to and from work and I never hit traffic.
3. What unique activities
did you do in this house?
We often held board game nights
with friends and the split level was perfect for this activity. We could have
people on both levels of the home and everyone still felt like they were
together. It's a great for social gatherings.
We would have a lot of dinner
parties and the long kitchen counter really helped because we could each
prepare food without feeling we were getting in each others
way. Again, with guests in the dining room, we were able to interact
easily.
Despite the open floor plan,
there was still privacy when family came to stay: they had their own
bedroom downstairs with a bathroom next door. So, we never disturbed each
other at night.
I used the downstairs bedroom as
an office and that gave me my own space and privacy.
The yard was the perfect size to
grill and enjoy outdoor time in the summer (especially after a walk to the
creek). It was also super easy to maintain.
4. What have been your
favorite activities to do / places to visit in the neighborhood and surrounding
areas?
One of the most compelling things
for us was how much there is in the neighborhood if you like restaurants or
easy access to groceries. We love Marina and La Casita - their salsa can't
be beat - and the proximity to Super Target and Cub is so handy. Having
Home Depot and Menards minutes away was great. We all know that with any
home project, you have to make multiple trips to the store so being so close
really helps. There's also every conceivable food option close-by...
and if that feels like we too much, we were members of LA Fitness on Silverlake
Road and being 2 minutes away encouraged us to go more often even if it
was just to use the treadmills for 30mins or enjoy their pool.
We also loved the nearby creeks -
especially with our dogs. We could take them for a long walk, but feel like we
were far away from town due to the privacy and serenity you're offered.
Nature on your doorstep! We loved weekend walks to the Moore Lake where
you can swim or play tennis and a great playground for kids. You can even fish!
There's a great movie theater on
694 that we would go to often. It's not one of the giant chains so it's a lot
cheaper.
5. What do people say when
they come here to visit you?
They love the spaciousness of the house. The also often remark on
the location and that it's so close to so many amenities and still feels
pretty central... yet private. Super easy access to the highway gets you where
you need to be very fast.
