Cedaredge, CO is in Delta County. It's one of several small mountain towns that make up this area we call the Surface Creek Area. Cedaredge is known for it's wonderful orchards and locally raised fresh produce. It's part of the banana belt which makes for hot summers and fairly mild winters. If you love playing outdoors, this is the place for you. Grand Mesa has over 300 lakes and most of them have fish. The Cedaredge area is centrally located to so many outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, cross country skiing, downhill skiing and mountain biking. You can enjoy all of these activities and not have to travel far. Of course you can also kick back, relax and enjoy the scenery. There is no typical thing about this area. In one day you can play in the snow on Grand Mesa and then come back to the valley and play nine holes of golf in a T shirt. Every drive is a scenic drive. The Grand Mesa dominates the skyline...not tall buildings. The Mesa (as the locals call it) is known as the world's largest flattop mountain. the West Elk Mountains border the county to the east. The area hosts many events over the course of the year including the famous Applefest which celebrates the summer's harvest. There are numerous concerts as well. If you want to live in the mountains this is the place you need to call home. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and experience a different kind of living.
