From Arizona Highways
I-40 and I-17, Oak Creek Canyon provides a spectacular entrance to UPTOWN
SEDONA. Another few miles down State Route 89-A is West Sedona,
surrounded by red rock canyons and pine forests.
WEST SEDONA has many
world-class restaurants, resorts and spas. The very desirable residential
communities include exclusive gated subdivisions with luxurious, high-end
homes. It's a paradise for healthy and creative living, providing
inspiration and endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
The best shopping,
banking and medical services are in WEST SEDONA. There are private and
public schools, including the beautiful campus of Red Rock High School and the
Sedona Performing Arts Center.
If you follow Oak
Creek past scenic Cathedral Rock, you'll enter the Verde Valley. On
Mingus Mountain at the south end of the valley, visit the fun and historic
mining town of Jerome, full of artisans, shops and ghost stories. Overlooking
the nearby towns of Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Cornville and Camp Verde, the view
is second only to the Grand Canyon. In the distance, the enormous vista
displays the red rocks of SEDONA and the majestic San Francisco Peaks.
High on a mesa in WEST
SEDONA is a small airport. It's only 30-minutes to Flagstaff, a regional
airport, and Northern Arizona University. Less than 2 hours south is an
international airport and the city of Phoenix. Another 2 hours south is
colorful Tucson.
Within just a few
hours of driving, you'll discover why ARIZONA is one of the most scenic,
diverse and beautiful states for people to visit or call home.
