Harmony Township was supposed to be a prestigious boaters dream community along the Sampit River.  A 779 acre development with a marina and frontage on the Sampit River and Turkey Creek, the development was zoned for 1710 homes.  About fifty plus fine homes were built before the market turned and as with other brand new neighborhoods, prices fell dramatically.  Now you can buy here for pennies on the dollar. 

 

The neighborhood was beautifully planned and the existing homes are lovely.  Some of them built in the Southern Ante Bellum Style, which, considering its pristine location amidst Spanish moss filled oaks, takes one back to the splendor of Gone with the Wind.  

 

The community is rich in history with rice plantations that date back to the 18th century. Enjoy miles of winding nature trails and incredibly gorgeous views.  Charleston is less than an hour away and Myrtle Beach is about a half hour drive from here.  If you are looking for a great value, I believe that you've found it!
