Located northwest of downtown Chicago, just west of Skokie, Morton Grove is a vibrant suburban community with a big-city feel. The village has been recognized as one of the nation’s 10 best towns for families by Family Circle magazine. Incorporated in 1895, the village of Morton Grove was named after former U.S. Vice President Levi Parsons Morton.
Students in Morton Grove are served by several school districts, including Districts 63, 67, 69 and 70. High school students primarily attend Niles West High School or Niles North High School – which are both located in neighboring Skokie – or Maine East High School in Park Ridge. Situated just west of the Edens Expressway, Morton Grove provides direct access to downtown Chicago. The community also has its own Metra station.
