Capay Valley 
Capay Valley is a hidden gem, a tourist designation, and in most part remains undeveloped. This is a beautiful slice of farmland.  The rich and nutrient packed soil and the climate produces outstanding quality of produce.  Its comprised of organic farms, mountain ranges with gorgeous oaks and sprinkled with pines, all year around cache Creek feed by Clear Lake and Indian Valley Reservoir all nestled in the mountains of Western Yolo County.  The widest part of the valley is only  approximately 2 miles across.

This  picturesque Valley still has the small and passionate family farms and comprised of 5 towns, Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda and Rumsey that take you back to yester-year days. There is a little bit of heaven for everyone.  The Capay Valley offers access to camping, hiking and whitewater rafting along scenic Cache Creek, bird watching, horseback riding and access to thousands of acres of a wilderness area.

The Capay Valley is known for its history of Almond trees and their beautiful blossoms, there ranches, bay area farmers markets, the region produces nuts, and olive oil, fruits and vegetables, is  approx 60 organic farms which is the highest concentrations in Northern California,

The valley features rural tourism such as  farm tours, wine tasting, olive tasting, and lavender farms.   The valley is now home to vineyards and wineries, and earned its American Viticultural Area designation in 2002.
