Dorchester is the largest of the twenty-three neighborhoods of Boston. Covering six square miles, Dorchester is comprised of over a dozen neighborhoods of it’s own! It’s no surprise that Dorchester is one of the city’s most diverse areas. The landscape parallels the cultural diverseness appropriately. On the western border, Franklin Park offers open fields, a public golf course and the 72 acre Franklin Park Zoo. To the east is the Atlantic coast, The JFK Memorial Library and The Lower Neponset River Trail, as well as Rt. I-93, offering access to points north and south. The interior is a hub in it’s own right, offering an enticing array of shopping and dining opportunities, as well as easy access to downtown Boston via the MBTA commuter rail and Redline subway.  Dorchester remains one of Boston’s up and coming neighborhoods and a fun, diverse place to live!
