Location
In East Windsor you will find many different styles of properties, ages and price ranges of homes. The township is located at Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike in the northeast corner of central New Jersey's Mercer County. Our township is served by the US Postal Service by the post office in Hightstown, NJ, with the zipcode of 08520.
The first Planned Urban Development (PUD) in New Jersey was built here in the early 1970's with the construction of Twin Rivers, a large development of single family, townhomes and condominiums. It was built in four sections (quads) along Route 33 on the east side of the township.
The close proximity to Princeton, NJ offers many cultural activities including McCarter Theatre, in addition to the arts program at the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College located in West Windsor.

Several preschool facilities are in East Windsor, the private prep school, Peddie School, for grades 9-12, and SciCore Acamedy, middle school.
West Windsor is home to Mercer County Community College, located a couple of miles from East Windsor. Mercer serves over 30,000 people each year in their associate degree programs, credit and noncredit certificate programs, continuing education, corporate training, career training, youth programs, and summer camps for children. Many more come to campus for cultural activities, sporting events and the fitness center and pool. Your two years of education here can lead to furthering your education at nearby four-year institutions such as Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey and Rutgers University, as well as others.
Recreation
The Police Athletic League (PAL) has facilities at the Airport Road complex with fields for soccer and baseball. Additional programs are also sponsored for indoor soccer and basketball, among others.
There are 8 parks in East Windsor: Anker Park, Etra Lake Park, Rocky Brook Bikeway, Turnpike Park, Veterans Park, Westfield Road Park, Wiltshire Park, and Woods Road Community Park.
In addition to Etra Lake Park in East Windsor, the township’s largest park, Mercer County Lake has become renowned as a venue for regattas. Activities at the Marina include fishing tournaments, regattas including rowing races between area schools, as well as the United States Rowing Association Pre-Olympic trials.Pedal Boat and Rowboat rentals are available on Lake Mercer, throughout the summer season. Private groups can reserve boats in advance to complement their picnic outing
For the golfers who want to live near a course, Cranbury Golf Club and Mercer Oaks East & West , which has two 18-hole public courses run by the Mercer Co Park Commission, are located within a short drive of the township.
