Crescent Beach is a scenic and tranquil community located just south of St. Augustine, Florida and maintains a quaint, "old Florida" vibe with minimal commercial development.  Known for its stunning stretch of coastline, Crescent Beach offers beautiful, uncrowded beaches with soft white sand and clear waters, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. This quiet area is a hidden gem compared to the busier sections of St. Augustine, offering visitors a peaceful retreat with a laid-back atmosphere.  Situated on the southern end of Anastasia Island, Crescent Beach is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west. The area is accessible via State Road A1A, approximately 10 miles south of Historic Downtown St. Augustine.

The area is perfect for beachgoers, nature lovers, and water sports enthusiasts. It's ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and exploring local wildlife. Crescent Beach is also home to some natural beauty, including the nearby Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, known for its picturesque landscapes, historic gardens, and ancient oaks.

While Crescent Beach is close to St. Augustine's historic district, it retains a more secluded, less commercialized feel. The neighborhood has a mix of residential homes, vacation rentals, and a few small local shops and restaurants. Whether you're looking to relax on the beach or explore the natural surroundings, Crescent Beach offers a peaceful escape within easy reach of the cultural and historical attractions of St. Augustine.

The Crescent Beachfront Park, located at 6930 A1A South, provides parking, restrooms, showers, and two pavilions. The main public beach access point is at Cubbedge Road, where visitors can enjoy vehicle access to the beach. Please note that from March 1 through August 31, a nominal access fee is charged daily, and from September 1 through September 30, fees are applicable only on weekends. Driving on the beach is permitted during specific hours: from May 1 through September 30, it's allowed from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and from October 1 through April 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hard-packed sand is ideal for activities such as biking, walking, beach volleyball, frisbee, and bocce ball. The area is also suitable for swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding. Public access points on A1A allow for boating, and horseback riding is permitted with a special permit.
