The community of Highland Lakes has grown from a golf course-oriented development to a fast-growing suburban community featuring affordable housing and a short commute to nearby Columbus. The community is located just north of the city of Westerville on the Franklin/Delaware county line, 15 miles northeast of downtown Columbus, near the I-270 loop and Interstate 71. Highland Lakes features some 5,000 acres of developments including the The Woods at Highland Lakes, Traditions at Highland Lakes and Highland Lakes Meadows.
