Short walk or drive to Ace Hardware.  Short drive to Lake Oroville Recreation area, De Sabla or Paradise Lake where I like to fish for trout.  This is a small town appeal where friendly people are all around.  Some of our many fun things to do are kids fishing days held at Paradise Lake, and Aquatic park in lower Paradise.  We have an awesome Museum which features the rich gold nugget history.  Matter of fact a 58 pound nugget of Gold was taken just above Paradise.  There are folks who still pan for gold in the area.  We love folks to come to our town which is why we hold so many town events like Johnny Appleseed days, and Gold Nugget Parade, which even locals attend.  How about the Chocolate festival.  Check out our local Chamber of commerce for a ton of information regarding festivals and how to become a part of them.  

Hiking the trails, visit the flume, or many other activities.  We are proud of our area and we wear it proudly.
