1200 SF Log home with a big view, 2BR/2BA, lives large. 1.5
story upscale cabin offers the best in a weekend retreat or full-time escape. Between
Charlotte and Asheville with easy access to I85, I40 and I26 interstates it’s year-round
accessible and an easy drive from several airports. Enter the house via a
screened-in porch to the living room where a wow floor to ceiling view greets
you. The area is open to the kitchen and dining area. With similarly sized
bedroom on both floors either may be used for a master. A loft with a view may
be used as a third bedroom, but it’s a nice bonus with a fantastic view.
Uncommon outdoor spaces add ambiance and more living area.
There’s a wonderful covered and floored space under the main deck where a cool
breeze nearly always blows, an outdoor open patio with a firepit is a good
place to gather under the stars. The cabin has nearly 1,000 square foot of
decking on two levels. Underneath the house a storage room and neatly finished
crawl space afford a handy workshop that even has a sink and toilet. Low
maintenance landscaping complements beautiful hardscaping creating lovely areas
with that rarest of mountain home commodities - parking.
The Summit is a Fall Creek Development, a gated, solvent
mountain community with paved roads and underground utilities. You’ll love
rural Rutherford County’s Golden Valley Township. It seems like you’re in a
remote location, but it’s only 17.3 miles to Walmart. Sunrises, worthy of a
celebration, will be stupendous here, but of equal value are the spectacular
moonrises and you’ll have a beautiful deck to sit on while you enjoy the night
sky in all its glory. The long range views will be enchanting year-round and there
are views from every room.
Low HOA fees and a slowly growing community make The Summit
a popular choice. Proximity to the South Mountain State Park, the Blue Ridge
Parkway, Grandfather’s Mountain, Chimney Rock, Tryon International Equestrian
Center, Lake Lure and Lake James means you’ll enjoy Western NC’s many summer
attractions. But it’s close enough to Beech Mountain for a day trip, if you
love to ski. While we are surrounded by outdoor attractions there are a few
things we lack: Factories, heavy traffic, stop lights, sky rise buildings and
train tracks. The nearest shopping malls are in Shelby, but you can be at Ikea
in Charlotte in an hour and a half. Internet is available via satellite and a
network extender will boost cell service. What are you waiting for?
