Neighborhood Info

The Beaches in Chestermere is a mature neighbourhood in Chestermere.  The lots are larger, the trees are taller and it is located close to the lake.  
 

 Information on the Beaches Community 

When The Beaches was started the first homeowners were told that they would have a lakefront lot for that development’s private use. As all lakefront lots are zoned R1, that was a promise they should have never made. In fact they did not put it in writing so of course many of the first residents were very disappointed.

 Homes in this area were built starting in 1993 as in Chesterview Estates people could by the lot and bring their own builder. Other phases were not added that quickly. More were built in 1997, but it took off in 1999. Towards the end of the development builders built show homes and you could only build with selected builders for that area. Fortunately they were solid builders that built great homes. They were Stepper Homes, Sterling Homes and Nu-Vista Homes.

•Untreated pine shakes were still being used when this area was built.
