To anyone considering making 4307 6th
St NE their next home:
We have lived here for
12 years and it will be very hard to say goodbye to the home in which we began
our lives together. We bought this home
shortly before our wedding and officially moved in the day after we got married. Excited to no longer be in apartments and
finally having a yard, one of the first things we did was get a puppy. Our cute little black lab puppy is now a grey
bearded old man with arthritis but he still loves to go on walks to any of the
nearby parks and chase the kids up and down the sledding hill up the street in
the winter.
We brought both our
babies home to this house and it’s been a great place for them to grow up. We loved the ability to have both of their
bedrooms on the same floor as ours which would not be an option in many homes
in our area. They love riding their
bikes up and down the sidewalk and rollerblading on the newly paved
streets. Our 7 year old loves our
neighbor, Jerry, and will swing in the back yard and chat away with him when
he’s doing his yard work. Jerry is a
sweet older man who is always happy to keep an eye on things when we go out of
town and lets us use his big ladder without even asking!
We have changed many
things in our home since we moved in, including a full kitchen remodel to put
in new cabinets, tile backsplash and granite countertops; we tore out the
carpet on the first floor to install hard floors; we ripped out both bathrooms
down to the studs and remodeled them with beautiful stone and tile, new
fixtures and professionally refurbished the beautiful, antique, claw foot
tub. We stripped and stained all of the
gorgeous original wood work and installed new siding and a new roof!
We will miss the
convenience of this neighborhood most of all.
It has been great to be in a quiet, residential neighborhood and still
be so close to Target, Cub, Aldi, and dozens of restaurants! It’s a short 10 minute drive to both
Northtown and Rosedale malls and the giant movie theater in Brooklyn Park is 5
minutes away and rarely crowded. We have
easy access to hop on the freeway but have also learned sneaky back routes to
just about everywhere we need to go.
We love having friends
and family over to grill on the deck in the summer and use the hot tub when
it’s chilly. At least once a month we
host a game night and you’d be amazed how many people we can fit in the dining
room! The family room is also big and
roomy and we love bringing in extra chairs to have friends pile in to watch
football on the flat screen. We have
hosted everything in our home from Christmas morning to Thanksgiving dinner to
New Year’s Eve hot tubbing to Super Bowl Sunday. This house holds a lot of
special memories for us and we hope the next people enjoy it as much as we
have.
Sincerely,
The Sellers of 4307 6th Street NE
