Run Thru The Hills

Discover the hills in Lake in the Hills! This popular and challenging course will give participants the taste of the rolling terrain that surrounds Woods Creek Lake in the mature section of town. Bring the whole family as there are walk, run, and strolling distances for all ages.
All 5K/10K participants will receive a long-sleeve technical shirt. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in the 10K and 5K races. Race medals will be three deep in age groups beginning with 10-14 age groups through 65+. Walkers will receive finisher ribbons. Free molehill obstacle course available for ages 6+.

Clover Hunt

Those silly Leprechauns left behind hundreds of clovers to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Village Hall. Each clover will have a treat attached and one who finds a lucky four leaf clover will receive a special prize. Registration is not required, just show up for the free fun!

Family Fun Night

Friday, March 6, 2015 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
This inexpensive night out is a great way to break up the winter, have the kids participate in organized activities, and feed the family. Come out to Chesak Elementary School on Friday, March 6 from 6-8pm to discover what the Parks & Recreation Department has to offer this Spring and Summer along with an open gym, pizza, and drinks. Register before the event or at the door for $3 per person or $10 per family of 4.

Seasonal Brochure
The Village's Parks & Recreation Department organizes a wealth of programs and activities for residents of all ages. Copies of three seasonal brochures (Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer Editions) are sent to all active residential and business mailing addresses in the Village.These brochures feature an age-specific, comprehensive listing of the programs and special events that will be available to both residents and non-residents alike during each of the brochure cycles. Additional hard copies are available at Village Hall, or you can access a complete current edition by clicking the web link for the brochure at the bottom of the page.
NISRA Brochure
The Village of Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department is a member of the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA), which provides recreation programs for people with disabilities. NISRA staff assists our staff with including residents with disabilities in our recreation programs.
