ABOUT LONG CREEK MEADOWS

Long Creek Meadows in Dallas, NC is a master-planned community with some 220 homes built by LGI Homes. It is located just west of Charlotte, offering residents a peaceful, small-town setting with easy access to Charlotte, Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Eastridge Mall and Gaston Pickers Antique Mall in Gastonia. Founded in 1846, Dallas was originally the county seat of Gaston County. It retains a rich historical character, reflected in its well-preserved 19th Century architecture, most notably the historic Gaston County Courthouse, which stands in the heart of downtown Dallas. The restored 1843 building now serves as a public venue for private rental, hosting banquets, meetings and community gatherings. Surrounding the iconic courthouse building is the Town Square, which continues to undergo enhancements to support a variety of outdoor events--live performances, art shows, festivals. The town center features a quaint downtown area with local shops and cafes. Downtown Historic Dallas is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dallas is also home to Gaston College's main campus and to Dallas Park, an expansive 90-acre park offering equestrian facilities, fishing lakes, tennis and pickleball courts, softball/baseball complex, walking trail, picnic areas, fitness pavilion, playground, and dog park. 

Dallas is close to a number of regional recreational destinations, including Crowders Mountain State Park, the US National Whitewater Center, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, Rankin Lake Park, the Gaston County Museum, the Schiele Museum of Natural History. Nearby are the vibrant towns of Belmont and Mount Holly (home to Belmont Abby College), McAdenville (Christmas Town USA), Catawba Creek Golf Course. 

From April to September, you can shop at Dallas' Farmer's Market at Sandcastle Farm. Dallas Lavender Lane features a lavender farm (where you can pick your own flowers), a petting zoo, picnic tables, playground, gift shop, various festivals scheduled throughout the year.
