Dear Potential Homebuyers: First, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our home! My husband, Jeremy, and I are have loved this house and have truly enjoyed living here. We have watched our two children grow from babies to children in this house and have watched them thrive at the fabulous elementary school, two blocks away. We bought this home in 2005 because we fell in love with the charm of the house and the wonderful neighborhood. We found we loved the hardwood floors, the original molding, and large yard. We also really enjoyed having the two porches; the front one is the perfect place to read the paper and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. But, we did see some areas to improve and we have made some updates to the house over the last 8 years, including building a new 2 ½ car garage with attic storage, replacing the furnace and installing central air conditioning, and updating the kitchen. Aside from our home, Jeremy and I are going to miss this neighborhood. We felt welcome the moment we moved in; from neighbors introducing themselves to us right after we were settled to regular potlucks and parties at the small park, Alden Square (it is a bit of a mystery why a triangular park is called a square!), on the block, this has been a wonderful place to live. We have particularly enjoyed the annual St. Patrick’s Day party that one of the neighbors holds and when the Saint Anthony Park band plays at the gazebo. Alden Square is great, we often see children riding their bikes or throwing the Frisbee, people having picnics, and an occasional wedding there. Saint Anthony Park itself is amazing. There is a 4th of July parade every year and on weekends in the summer, the neighborhood hosts art festivals, garden tours, progressive dinners and much more. You can walk to the cutest library, great cafes (The Finish Bistro is one of our favorites), get anything and everything at Speedy Market (don’t let the name fool you into thinking it is a convenience store!), enjoy shopping at unique and interesting stores, and rarely can you walk through Saint Anthony Park without seeing someone you know. We are truly going to miss living on Brewster Street but our situation has changed and it is time for us to move on. We hope you love this home as much as we have. Sincerely, Jeanne and Jeremy
