1.  What compelled you to buy THIS house?

We really loved the overall flow of the house and solid bones.  We didn’t have to change anything structurally or open it up- just renovate.  From the moment we walked in we were really inspired and could see the potential.  The kitchen was large and perfect for entertaining.  The neighborhood was also really desirable for us- and it being a corner lot was a huge bonus

2.  What is it about this house that makes it better than other homes?  What can other homes not match?

The neighbors are amazing!  You know that old saying, you can’t choose your neighbors.  Well, if you’re lucky enough to live here you can.  If we go out of town, there is an email list that you can have everyone keep an eye on your house.  We have regular neighborhood events, progressive dinners, etc.  There is really a sense of community here.

We really put a lot of heart and soul into all of the finishes and made sure they were done the right way.  We refinished all of the woodwork by hand, had the landscape designed professionally, installed landscape lighting outside, quality cabinetry in the kitchens and bathrooms, etc.  We restored a home to our standards and not the standard of turning a quick profit.  

3.  What unique activities did you do in this house?

Lots of cooking and entertaining as well as weekend renovation projects.  We also love to garden and socialize with our neighbors.

4.  What have been your favorite activities to do / places to visit in the neighborhood and surrounding areas?

Northeast has really changed in the past 9 years.  We love trying all of the new restaurants around the area, distilleries, breweries, the dog park that’s nearby, art a whirl and other art events, coffee shops, etc.

5.  What do people say when they come here to visit you?

They say, I love your house!  Many people have commented that  they can’t believe we’re moving.  It’s really the perfect house, neighborhood and location.  We are sad to go, but the time is right.
