To anyone interested in Central Coast real estate: Don’t spend a nickel or commit to a sentence of a contract without including Cory Mason of “Home Again Real Estate” in your plans. You will have the advantage over any other competition. This is a completely unsolicited, voluntarily-rendered note of appreciation and testimony in favor of this gentleman and his firm. I feel strongly enough about his expertise and his service that I want to express my gratitude by telling of my experience: I live in Seattle, WA, and through a family death, found myself suddenly managing a family LLC that held a rental condo in Grover Beach. I was short on experience and long on need for help in putting it up for sale. We had listed the property with a big name realtor who snapped a few photos and wrote a paragraph or two for the MLS but little else. It languished and got stale, even underpriced as it was. My husband and I were blown away by the knowledge and level of detail Cory and Margo put into finding a home for us. They worked around our scheduled and made sure we had every piece of information available before making important decisions. They stayed involved through the entire home remodeling process too! I have to say that I'm very blunt, upfront, and sometimes hard to deal with. Whatever realtor that wanted to take me on as a client had to be willing to deal with me. We looked for homes for about 5 months. As the market became more competitive homes were beginning to have bidding wars. After months of searching we settled on a home and went into escrow. We liked the house but it needed a ton of work. After the home inspection was complete, we had a mile long list of repairs. This home was about 40 years old and had the original appliances, carpet, and even furnace. I was seriously getting cold feet to say the least. After a lot of time invested by Cory and myself, I finally told him that my gut feeling was telling me to walk away. I called him and told him how I felt about my situation. I was expecting a response from him that I didn't receive. He said, I completely understand how you feel and recommended that I follow my intuition. He could have pressed me to seal the deal, but he didn't. After that , another much nicer home had had caught my attention. Unfortunately it had just gone back into escrow. I called Cory and told him that I loved the home and neighborhood. I also said please keep an eye on that home in the event that it fell out of escrow again. Well by a stroke of good luck I received a call from him informing me that the home had once again fallen out of escrow and instructed me to move fast and get my best offer in. We put in our bid, countered a few times, and successfully landed the property. This was made possible because of Cory and Margo's hard work and perseverance. We now live in a home in an area we love, thanks to them. I continue to contact Cory with any real estate question that I have. I even have asked for advice for buying out of the area. I would recommend Cory and Margo to anyone that does not want to be pressured, not deal with attitude, wants knowledgeable advice on the market and local areas, responds quickly to questions, and gives his true and honest opinion when asked. I can honestly say through this experience, that I have have found friend and a lifelong realtor for all of my future central coast purchases. I don't even want to bother with anyone else. He is highly professional and provides excellent and timely service, and the deal doesn't stop with him when he has sold you the house. Hesitant at first my family still decided to attend the Home Buyers Workshop in Santa Maria. Buying a home is something my parents always wanted and this was the push they needed to make it happen. While the whole process of buying the house was stressful Cory and Margo came to our house to personally explain all the documents and kept us in the loop the whole way through.
