Eckert, Colorado is a quaint, small, mountain town on the Western Slope of Colorado. It's located in Delta County which is south of Grand Junction. The Grand Mesa is known as the world's largest flat top mountain, and it paints the skyline to the north. To the east the county is bordered by the West Elk Mountains. To the south you have the San Juan Mountains. Canyons, Rivers and Mountains is the county slogan, and the area has a lot of all of those things. There are plenty of opportunities to have fun in the area. Numerous local events and concerts are held throughout the year, and the Grand Mesa offers downhill and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are about 300 lakes on the mesa and most of them have fish. Every drive is a scenic drive.  The mesa also offers fun opportunities for hiking, biking, snowmobiling and photography. The area is known for its fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables.
