Plantation Acres, a Residential Community of Plantation Florida

Welcome to the Residential Community of “Plantation Acres” located in the Western Section of the City of Plantation Florida.

Plantation Acres is a well established Equestrian Neighborhood and is the largest Single Family Home Community within the City of Plantation with approximately 1,557 Homes.

Plantation Acres is located from Interstate I-595 to the South and just North of Oakland Park Boulevard with Hiatus Road to the East and Flamingo Road to the West with approximately 2048 Acres that is maintained by the Water District of “PAID” (Plantation Acres Improvement District)

Most of Plantation Acres is comprised of One Acre or Larger Single Family Estates, and also includes some one-half acre and one-third acre developments, multi-family developments, schools, churches and many Wonderful Parks.

The Age of the Homes varies from Ranch Style Homes built in the late 1960’s with square footage of 2,000 to 3,000 square feet under air along with New Construction Homes that continue to be built into 2012. There are Semi-Custom and Custom Homes and several Mega Mansions with square footage up to 9,000 and some Homes have a 10 Car Garage! Neighborhood amenities include several Parks spread throughout with the most Popular Park being “Camp Everglades” which is a Huge Children’s Playground with Customized playground equipment and Walkways. Next door is Volunteer Park which offers Spacious Meeting Rooms with seating for 10 to 175 individuals. There is also Banquet seating for 50 to 240 individuals. The Main Banquet room has a stage, a dance floor and a grand piano available. Another wonderful feature is Residents can enjoy hosting parties as there is a full service kitchen including a convection oven, walk-in cooler, ice machines and commercial warmers.

As an Equestrian Community, there is a State of the Art Equestrian Center set amidst 85 acres of beautifully landscaped boardwalks, bridle paths and recreational areas. There are 2 Huge Stables that house 96 Stalls, each with its own wash rack. There is also a Large Lighted Main Ring and two additional Show Rings and Practice Rings. Spectators are able to enjoy everything sitting in Bleachers that accommodate up to 300 people.

There is a Voluntary Home Owner’s Association Meeting and they meet once a month to discuss Community Interests and Events. Residents can enjoy great Shopping by the Close by Sawgrass Mills Mall. The mall opened in 1990 and it is the sixth largest mall in the United States, and the second largest in Florida. This Mall has 2,383,906 square feet of retail selling space.
