About the Neighborhood

San Anselmo is a charming community with a wide variety of homes with diverse architectural styles, on shady, tree-lined streets. The town of San Anselmo is made up primarily of smaller older homes than nearby Ross and Sleepy Hollow has larger ranch estates and horse properties.

San Anselmo real estate has become one of the favorite choices for Marin homebuyers. There is usually an inventory of approximately 100 homes to choose from with an average price of $1 million, 30% of which is under the $700k mark. There are several communities with smaller homes and lots and others with larger ranch style homes on bigger lots. Sleepy Hollow is one of the older established neighborhoods in San Anselmo. The “Hollow” is a safe environment with some of the best weather in Marin. Brookside School, with upper and lower campuses, is the public school providing K-8 education for kids which is one of the best in the county. In addition, the community center has its own co-op school for toddlers.
