Hollywood Beach

The coastline here is lined with a five-mile Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a 27-foot wide thoroughfare with its own cycle path that parallels the palm-fringed beach. However, there are three distinct areas of Hollywood Beach. North Beach (Hollywood), is a haven for shell seekers and families in search of quieter amenities. Three parks, one run by the city, one by the county, and one by the state, create plenty of access to picnic areas, showers, playgrounds, an observation tower and restrooms. Central Beach, considered the bustling center, has boutiques, outdoor cafés and live entertainment. It’s perfect for people-watching. South Beach is the residential area of the city. And, when it comes to nightlife, Hollywood\'s own Hard Rock and Casino definitely tops the chart. Of course that is for now- until Margaritaville, another exciting project planned to come to Hollywood Beach, opens its doors.

The luxurious, 349-room Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is planned for a five-acre site between Johnson and Michigan streets. The resort will include convention and ballroom space, retail stores, restaurants, full-service spa and fitness center, a dual lane wave rider, and other amenities. Plans also include a 1,600-square-foot Landshark Bar and Grill on the Intracoastal Waterway featuring dock space for boat access.

The project is designed to be a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver resort, a new boat dock with eco-tours along the Intracoastal, and more entertainment and outdoor seating at the beach theater.

The developer is currently working with Broward County to re-map the construction site, a process known as platting that can take several months. The developer also has applied for building permits and has secured environmental permits from the state.

The Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort promises to bring "Changes in Latitudes and Changes in Attitude" along central Hollywood Beach.
