Welcome to Bird of Paradise, located in the Heart of the Florida Keys. 
The "Bird of Paradise" is a stunning home located DIRECTLY on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy incomparable panoramic views of the azure waters of the Florida Keys.

This 2,300 square foot home features a private in ground pool and a small floating dock, perfect for jet skis, kayaks or a small flats type boat. Enjoy incredible sunsets and water views from the Gulf Front pool and outdoor area. 

Due to the location of this home the waters can get very shallow during low tide. We recommend that any boats be limited to "flats-style" boats with experienced boaters. 


Completely refurbished in 2012 this stunning 3 bedroom, 2 bath beauty boasts all new furnishings and a brand new gourmet kitchen complete with granite counter tops.

Relax and enjoy the splendor of a Florida Keys sunset from the expansive screened porch that overlooks your own private pool. Or let us reserve you kayaks that you can launch from your own yard and explore the abundant sea-life.

Master Suite: Imagine waking up in your King sized bed to the sun shining over the Gulf and the balmy breezes from your private balcony. The master suite has a private bath with large soaking tub to relax your cares away.

BR 2: The second bedroom has a queen bed and shares the hall bath with bedroom 3

BR 3: The bunk house has a set of bunk beds and a trundle bed with two twin for a total of four twins in all in this delightful room.

Full laundry facilities with a full sized washer and dryer.

Fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, cookware, dishes and a starter of paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher powder are provided. Your home will have a toaster, blender and coffee maker for your use.

The home has central air conditioning and numerous ceiling fans for those warm tropical days. There are ceiling fans in the dining and living areas as well as in all the Bedrooms.


All homes in the Florida Keys can be subject to sea-grass blowing in with strong winds. The grass is where our sea-life live and reproduce and can cause an odor when it accumulates.

Flooring throughout the home is wood laminate and tile. Pets under 20 pounds will be accepted with a $150 per pet fee and pets over 20 pounds will be considered. Please call to discuss your pets needs.

The lovely Gulf front pool will ensure you enjoy every day in the Keys as your relax around the azure waters. Pool heat will be provided for the week for an additional $100 fee.

All bedrooms and the living area have flat screen TV's. Basic cable will be provided and a DVD player is located in the living room.

The common areas are open and inviting and offer plenty of seating areas as well as a sleeper sofa in the living area. Enjoy open water views from many locations throughout the home.

In the glassed-in Florida room you find seating and a dining table overlooking the pool and the Gulf of Mexico. This room is cooled and provides a great place to watch the sun set into the Gulf of Mexico and end another day in Paradise.

For guests wishing to have more water sports, Coco Plum Vacation Rentals is happy to coordinate the use of kayaks, jet skis, private boats and private fishing charters.

Guests may also wish to visit the world famous Turtle Hospital, Dolphin research center, Key West and Duval Street or relax at Bahia Honda park and Beach.

Home is located within 5 miles of grocery stores, drug stores, a hospital, boat ramps, bait shops, restaurants, bars, movie theater and all other conveniences you may desire.

Parking: for 4 cars, two covered spots. Room for trailer parking.

Ideal Location, Great Views and Lovely Pool

We stayed at Bird of Paradise and had our holiday of a life time. After reading previous comment we was worried about the weed, but took a chance because we wanted a private pool along with access to the ocean. When we arrived we was pleased to find no weed and no smell. Just a clean, fresh new looking house with great bay side views. We enjoyed all that Marathon has to offer with great diving, restaurants, shops but most of all the fishing was superb! Coco Plum were great and very easy to deal with. Looking forward to returning again next year.

A great family vacation

Our family enjoyed a week at this lovely home in Marathon. All newly remodled and very spacious. Really enjoyed the washer and dryer for the grandchildren. Just be aware of the grassy water that is stagnent in front of the home and on many days has a horrible smell. We got use to that and on a good day with the wind blowing the right way we didn't notice. Pet friendly made this home perfect for our family.
