The Stanwood-Camano School District focuses on providing students with a quality education, dedicated staff, and safe learning environment.
The district consists of:
• 5 elementary schools serving kindergarten through grade five
• 2 middle schools serving grades six through eight
• 1 high school serving grades nine through twelve
• 1 alternative middle school serving grades seven through eight
• 1 alternative high school serving grades nine through twelve
• A variety of on-line courses for students in grades nine through twelve
• A parent partnership program for students who benefit from a non-traditional educational experience where parents are the primary teachers
• Service for preschoolers from age three with developmental delays

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce has a long history of working together with the community to make Stanwood one of the finest towns in Western Washington. The Chamber proudly sponsors several community events including the Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival, Soap Box Derby, Farmers Market, Summer Concert Series, National Night Out Against Crime, An Old Fashioned Christmas and Light Up Your Holidays.
The purpose of these events is to draw people and hopefully customers into our community. The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce is a group of volunteers that collectively work together for the betterment of our community

122-year-old weekly newspaper for Stanwood and Camano Island. They circulate to 4,000 people who turn to there pages for politics, news, features, high-school sports and slices of humanity.

Stanwood Community & Senior Center is here for you! We offer many programs and activities for everyone! Established in 1972, the center has become a vital resource for seniors, and a great place to meet socially.
WARM BEACH CAMP(link is external)
Warm Beach offers a wide range of Programs for the whole family and has facilities available for Guest Group rental by churches, schools, and non-profit organizations who want to program their own event. Warm Beach is also the home of The Lights of Christmas, a Northwest holiday tradition.

Location Snohomish County is located on Puget Sound, between Skagit County to the north and King County (and Seattle) to the south. Covering 2,090 square miles, it is the 13th largest county in total land area in Washington. Snohomish County’s varied topography ranges from saltwater beaches, rolling hills and rich river bottom farmlands in the west to dense forest and alpine wilderness in the mountainous east. Glacier Peak, at 10,541 feet, is the highest point in Snohomish County and one of the highest in Washington State. Sixty-eight percent of the county land area is forest land, 18% is rural, 9% is urban/city and 5% is agricultural.

The Stanwood Library and the Camano Island Library Pilot Project offer guest passes for use of the public computers. Guests can print 10 free pages a day and have access to free Wi-Fi at both locations.
STANWOOD AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY(link is external)
The Stanwood Area Historical Society seeks to discover, preserve and display any materials which help to establish, illustrate and interpret the economic, social and cultural heritage of the greater Stanwood area, including if financially possible and appropriate, historic sites and properties. The Stanwood Area Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, charitable donations are deductible.
