2) Tule Springs and Floyd Lamb Park are nearby, offering 2,040 acres including four lakes stocked for fishing, Tule Springs Ranch, the Tule Springs Wash, and the Tule Springs Archaeological Site. The Farmers Market at Floyd Lamb Park offering fresh organic produce is held the 3rd Saturday of each month and is 12 minutes away.

3) The 2,900 acre Clark County Shooting Complex is 2.3 miles north. The facility offers trap, skeet, sporting clays, archery, rifle, pistol, and training & events, as well as 80 pull-through RV sites with hook-ups and up to a 29-day stay. 4) Willie McCool Regional Park is just a few minutes east on Horse and is named after a local astronaut who piloted the space shuttle Columbia. This 160 acre park is home to a Radio Controlled Aircraft Flying Field. A yearly pass is available for purchase, call 702-633-1600. The park is also home to the University of Nevada Reno Experimental Garden, which tests water usage and the adaptability of non-native plants to the desert climate.

5) Iron Mountain Ranch Landscape Maintenance Association is super affordable at $45/month and puts on many fun events such as a free Harvest Festival, Winter Social, Spring Fling, and community-wide yard sales. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming.

6) Gilcrease Orchard (http://www.thegilcreaseorchard.org/) is a time-honored tradition for locals to pick fruit and vegetables fresh off the tree or vine, and is only 8 minutes west. Join in the fun by picking a pumpkin from their pumpkin patches for the holidays!

7) Aliante Casino and Hotel in the nearby masterplan community of Aliante offers gaming, movie theater, concerts, and many restaurants and dining options.

8) Aliante Golf Club is also less than 10 minutes away.

9) Shopping centers are only a few minutes away. Costco, Walmart, and local favorite WinCo Foods (open 24 hours) are just a few minutes south. The owners’ favorite restaurant close by is Little Dumplins.
