Beech Mountain is a wonderful summer and winter destination.  Summers are so cool, our normal high temperature doesn’t exceed 78 degrees, you can truly enjoy outdoor activities.  You can hike, bike, play tennis, golf, enjoy a dip in the pool or play a quick game of pickle ball and enjoy it.  Beech Mountain Resort offers lots of winter activities too.  Ski, snow board, or ice skate, kids can sled at the towns sledding hill too.   The best part of Beech Mountain is the people, everyone is friendly and helpful.  Go to Fred’s General Mercantile to enjoy a morning coffee and a paper.  Remember if he doesn’t have it you don’t need it - groceries, hardware, magazine, clothes and shoes. Take  the kids to the kite field to enjoy a fun afternoon after a great pizza lunch at the Brick Oven.  Relax with a glass of wine and wonderful dinner at Rascals.
