The Future: looks quite bright for Palm Springs.  The 2011 -12 Season is off to a great start with amazing entertainment, larger than ever crowds of visitors, more flights and lots of new or improved restaurants. From Zin Bistro, to Rio Azul  and a revamped Kaiser Grill plus the recently redone and stunning Renaissance Hotel.  The city just passed a new Tax measure to support a project to redevelop the old Palm Springs Fashion Plaza Mall and opening up a street leading to the front of the Palm Springs Art Museum.  The Morrison townhomes are finishing up a major constrcution pahse and an Eisenhower medical facility has been built at sunrise and Tahquitz. Look for homes in Palm Springs.

Good Eats: Culinary delights are expanding rapidly in Palm Springs.  TRIO, with reasonably priced food and drink in a pleasant setting it has quickly become the place to be seen. The classy Tropicale continues to delight with amazing cuisine and a chic setting.  The Purple Palm and the "Citron" at the Viceroy hotel also offer amazing culinary experiences. We can't forget Copley's & Hamburger Marys which came to town a few years ago.  The popular Koffi expanded to South Palm Springs (directly across the street from the Biltmore Condos on the corner of Camino Real.) and now they have expanded their original location at Alejo and Palm Canyon Drive.  Recent opening in 2011 have included a newly relocated Red Tomato (after many years in Cathedral City) Cheekys', LuLu's and The Lobster Company. The ACE hotel has their restaurant Kings Highway and recently the Smoketree Shopping center revamped the West end of their plaza into a restaurant hub with Giuseppe's, Native foods, PHO 533 and several others. Of course we can't overlook longtime favorites still going strong such as Spencers', Billy Reids', Wangs, Shermans' Deli and Ricks'.
