The majority of the hardwood floors, tile, paint, and carpets are new from 2004. However, some carpet is original, and some painting is required. For example, when all the Russian and English art and antiques are removed and the walls exposed in the original section of the house, a paint job will be needed. The owners prefer vivid colonial colors, such as yellow, red, and blues, rather than builder off white, so the new owner can change as desired!
The kitchen is large, with it and the formal dining room having a full wall of 7 foot windows looking out into the yard, pond, and forest, and opening on to a large deck. The kitchen is tiled, the formal DR is hardwood, and the cabinets are new. In fact, the huge kitchen sink is a five foot long antique 1950s unit. This is a large, comfortable, three year old extended family oriented kitchen. However, this is NOT a designer kitchen, and has no marble countertops.
