Cobble Hill Farm is an antique Federal style Colonial set in Merryall. A Litchfield County estate at its best. Located 90 minutes from New York City, this beautiful home sits on 58 acres of Connecticut farmland. Rescued and renovated, the home retains its period details and charms and blends them with top of the line modern convenience. The home looks over the fields and pond, with distant views of the Litchfield Hills. To complete the picture there is a barn, heated built in pool and studio. You will find a wonderful scene in the living room that was found and repaired. A scene depicting l
The Merryall section of New Milford was given its name by a group of men who were surveying the area between 1776 and 1731, it is not quite clear. However what is clear is that they were dining by a spring, shared a bottle of spirits, and named the area "Merryall" as they were Merry all! Steeped in local history, the Merryall Chapel is still in use to this day. Built in 1890 it is a reflection of times gone past. Services are scheduled a few times a year, local clergy are asked to participate. Across the street from the Merryall Chapel is the Merryall Center for the Arts. On first glance one would pass it right by, however they have a pretty impressive list of performers there on a regular basis.
