You have to stop in Pie Town, those pies at the cafe are homemade and I bet you can't eat just one. In fact, I bought 4 and had two left to bring home to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The elevation in Pie Town is 7900 feet.

This wilderness is off limits to motorized travel and there are no roads on any of the land as a means to preserve it just as nature made it. This is a beautiful place to hike, backpack, horseback ride, hunt and fish. Have you over nighted at the Cosmic Campground? What a great experience! Follow the trails and check with the Forest Service Ranger Offices in the area for maps and information on the area.
