Midtown West

Also referred to as Clinton or Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown West has grown into a well-developed residential location with many glass high-rises offering direct views of the Hudson River, upper and lower Manhattan, and the iconic Midtown skyline. The modern skyscrapers are juxtaposed with pre-war buildings, as well as the occasional brownstone. Ninth Avenue, the heart of the neighborhood, is famous for its restaurants, nightlife, and markets, and serves as a home to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Baryshnikov Arts Center and Ars Nova Theater.
