About the Neighborhood
Solterra looks like one of the famous Tuscan paintings of Bruno Chirici. Imagine a hillside village of Italian inspired homes rolling down the slopes of a mountain, and a sea of tiled roofs that just disappear into the background of grassy fields and lakes. Is this Colorado, or have I been transported to the rolling hillsides of Tuscany?
With quick access to Downtown Denver and even quicker access to the best recreational opportunities Colorado has to offer, you will be perfectly located to take advantage of the best living Colorado has to offer. In just a few minutes you will already be heading up the steep inclines of Floyd Hill, and on a powder day you can go ahead and hit the snooze button a few time – you’re already ahead of the ski crowds. After a long day of skiing you will be that much closer to home (20-55 minutes depending on where you live now).
Solterra has awe-inspiring landscapes that intertwine with open space corridors and a network of trails. Homes are thoughtfully separated by a trail system that connect Solterra with Green Mountain to the North and Bear Creek State Park to the South. In every direction you will see jaw dropping views. Red Rocks is framed perfectly to the West, or look south towards the town of Morrison and the Hogback. To the North, look up at Green Mountain, and to the East is one the most underrated views in Solterra – the twinkling lights of Denver and DTC. When you are home in Solterra it feels like you are at a fine Colorado Resort.
One of the things that Solterra residents love the most is the quick access to so many different recreational opportunities – in every direction. Access to the best skiing in Colorado is faster and easier. Golf courses are close and plentiful, whether it’s public courses like Fossil Trace and Fox Hollow or private courses like Red Rocks Country Club and Bear Creek Golf Club. Hiking and biking trails are everywhere – nearly every Solterra resident has a bike hanging in their garage. You can bike through the trails within Solterra that connect to the trail head at Green Mountain. Or bike down to the town of Morrison to take advantage of the terrific outdoor patios.
Solterra also has quick access to grocery stores, shopping at Colorado Mills and Belmar, and some very nice under the radar restaurants.
