More details

Once through the front gates you cross into a world all it's own.  The driveway dips down as you cross over a low water bridge and you get a brief glimpse of the house.  A dedicated parking area can be found to your left. A flagstone walkway lined with trees, interspersed with golden money wart leads you to the front steps flanked by large fire pots.  The double glass doors open onto a grand entry with an 8ft wall of water.  Above your head, hanging from the 25 ft cathedral ceiling, is a custom glass bubble chandelier.  The floors are hand scrapped maple inlaid with walnut to create a grid pattern.  The hand scrapped maple wood floors continue throughout most of the main floor.

Beyond the water wall is the formal dining room.  Walls are covered with stone and flanked with unique wall sconces.  Above the dinning room table hangs a large shaved horn chandelier.  The floors are hand scrapped maple.  To the right you will find an arched custom doorway made of reclaimed wood, glass and metal from La Puerta in Santa Fe. The door opens on to a wine collectors room, temperature controlled, holding over 450 bottles of wine.  To your left is another custom reclaimed wood door from La Puerta which leads to a wonderful butlers pantry.  Complete with sink, dish washer and hidden step ladder as well as a walk-in pantry accessed through hand carved antique Chinese screens.  The counter top and sink are a sand blasted steel brushed granite. The butlers pantry is perfect for entertaining and serving buffet style as it opens up to a gourmet kitchen.

The Kitchen has a large island with a 5 burner Gaggenau induction cook top, vegetable sink, pull up mixer stand, pull out oil and spice rack and a drawer for trash and recycle bins.  Not to mention ample storage for pots, pans and other utensils.  The island is plumbed for gas, if desired.  The kitchen has a full sized GE monogram refrigerator and freezer, Gaggenau convection oven with rotisserie and a steam oven.  The microwave is hidden from view in an oversized appliance garage.  There is also a hidden step stool in the kick plate under the cabinets as the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling. There are two KitchenAid dishwasher drawers.  The countertops are granite and have been sandblasted and steel brushed to give a unique textured finish. The backsplash is custom designed, consisting of travertine tile inlaid with fish and leaf fossils.  Truly a work of art!  The sink is black granite composite, practically indestructible and the floors are cork, very easy on the feet and back!  Adjacent to the kitchen is the bar with under counter U-line  refrigerator/ice maker and plenty of storage for glasses, spirits and other necessary utensils.  The kitchen and bar open up to the breakfast/sitting room, and living room.

The living room is separated from the dining room by a double sided open gas fireplace.  Filled with black rock and three rows of flames with varying flame heights.  Hidden behind a wood wall is a double rack of sound and media entertainment equipment.  The backside of the equipment can be accessed from the master closet.  Almost every room in the house is equipped with speakers including much of the outdoor living space.  The back wall of the living room is ALL windows!

The breakfast/sitting room and living rooms over look a magnificent tree covered yard and amazing multi-tired salt water pool.  The pool begins with a hot tub right off the master bedroom twelve feet in the air. From the hot tub the waterfalls begin, with a small wading pool which spills into another small pool, this pool is preceded by a shallow rapids area before spilling into the main pool. The beach entry to the main pool is flanked by fire pots that also spill water into the pool.  The pool has a very natural feel with large boulders, flower beds interspersed in the boulders, trees draping over the edge and a pebble-tech bottom.  The back yard has an outdoor kitchen complete with a Twin Eagles gas grill, two burner stove, stainless steel sink and ice chest drawer.  The flagstone pool deck is complemented by flagstone interspersed with golden moneywort. On colder nights kick up the heat in an extra large red sandstone fire pit, circled by very comfortable stone chairs!  Really they are comfortable, come try them!  The back yard has been kept as natural as possible to protect the trees and the beautiful view and shade they provide.

The east wing of the house has a half bath, large coat closet, study/library, master suite and wonderful screened porch.  The half bath has been decorated with an Asian influence. The vanity is an antique Chinese chest with a bronze Ginkgo leaf sink and a fish as the door knob.  Across the hall from the half bath is a large walk in coat closet, perfect for checking coats when entertaining in the cooler months.  Beyond the closet is the study/library with built in corner desk, a window seat large enough for two to read, relax and soak up the sun, while enjoying the view.  There is a generous amount of storage under the window seat, in the desk and closet.  The doors to the Study are custom shutter doors from La Puerta, in Santa Fe.  The study is separated from the master sitting area by a double sided abstract art/book display wall, open to both rooms.

The screened porch is accessed through both the office and the master sitting area.  This is the best place in the house to unwind, have a glass of wine and enjoy nature, take a nap, etc...!  With an outdoor ceiling fan and being situated on the south east corner of the house, you are benefited by the south winds in the summer and blocked from the north winds in the winter, extending your use of this wonderful room!

You enter the master suite sitting room through custom wood doors made from antique Chinese screens.  The sitting room features a wonderful window seat perfect for curling up with a good book or taking an afternoon nap.  The Master suite is divided in two by an open gas fireplace which mimics the one in the living room.  Because the master bedroom is on the east side of the house, the east wall features a large window to take advantage of the beautiful sunrises and to enjoy all the wildlife.  However if you prefer to sleep late you can always put down the electric blackout shades.  Opposite the wall of windows is an alcove leading to the master bath and closets.

The left door opens to a two story closet.  The lower level of the closet is perfect for the gentleman who loves ties, shoes, clothes, you name it, because there is room for most anything.  Under the stair case you can find drawers and cubbies that are perfect as charging stations for phones, IPads, tablets, etc.....  The backside of the sound system and security rack is accessed through the master closet which also boasts plenty of storage CD's, DVD's, or anything else you can think of.......  Upstairs, your clothes are protected behind closed doors and forget about needing dressers or Chester drawers because you have 40 drawers in varying sizes to accommodate most anything, including jewelry!  ........The closet also serves as a safe room, in more ways than one, there is a small closet behind the full length mirror perfect for hiding a small safe. The floors of the closet are travertine and heated.

To the right is the master bath.  The large curbless shower has a floor to ceiling glass enclosure that acts like a steam shower with out the hassle of constantly breaking equipment!  The shower has three separate shower heads, an over head rain shower, a hand held shower and a wall mounted shower as well as wall mounted body sprays.  The deep air jet soaker tub has a teak surround to give some warmth to a room that can often seam cold with to much tile and stone.  The his and hers vanity areas feature granite counter tops, glass under mount sinks that are back lit to act as a night light or to provide additional lighting when accessing under sink storage.  The travertine floors are inlaid with porcelains tiles and granite and are heated for additional warmth in cooler months.  The master bath also features an under counter refrigerator and coffee bar, as well as access to the hot tub pool area.

The west wing of the house is accessed by a hallway of windows and cabinets topped with granite.  The hallway leads to another half bath with slate counter top and a beautiful copper apron sink.  The door handle to the bathroom reminds me of a piece of a John Hardy jewelry!

Beyond the bathroom is a staircase leading you upstairs where all the fun begins. Under the stairs is great storage space/ utility closet. Perfect for hiding luggage or storing all your bulk items purchased at Sam's Club.

Once you find your way out of the expansive under stair storage room you will find a large utility room with massive amounts of counter space topped with black slate.  The long expanse of counter has a cutting guide for your wrapping station. The granite composite sink is large and deep to handle most any cleaning task and the concrete floors make for easy care.  There's even a hidden step stool to help you access the upper cabinets that reach to the ceiling!  Under the cabinets, hidden in a drawer is an ironing board.

A dedicated multi-purposed mud/dog room is just through the door of the utility room.  The extra large stainless steal sink with custom teak vanity and hand held shower nozzle make clean up a breeze! No need to worry about making too much of a mess, the walls have a slate wainscot, the floors are concrete  and there is a drain in the floor.  Through the dog door is a private little oasis for the four legged family member.  They have there own little porch complete with ceiling fan and a small area to stretch there legs and take care business.

Off the mud room is a two car portico that leads to a two car garage complete with lots of cabinets and counter top space.  The garage has a separate room that houses a great General Ionics water purifying system and a 1500 gallon holding tank.  You'll never have to buy bottled water again!  The extra space in this room is perfect for storing those unsightly yard tools and equipment.

Opposite the attached two car garage is a free standing two car garage with a pull through, great for storing your boat when not out enjoying lake Arcadia! Above the garage is ample attic space accessed by an outside staircase.

Back to the house and up the stairs you will find a bedroom several bathrooms, game room, exercise room and even an apartment for live-in help, grounds keeper, or the college grad who needs a little more time before being completely on there own.  On your way up the stairs stop on the landing and take a load off, sit in the window seat and enjoy the view of the back yard, wildlife and all the wonderful trees.

At the top of the stairs is access to another outdoor sitting area over looking the front yard and to your left you will find a pool table.  Around the corner and beyond yet another bathroom the shuffle board table and media room awaits. Close the electric blinds and enjoy your favorite movie, watch a great football game, play a game of shuffle board or pool.  Enjoy a refreshing drink from the under counter refrigerator or pop some popcorn in the microwave.  But most of all have fun and relax.  If it gets to noisy or crowded step outside on the back deck and drink in the serenity of the Birdseye view of the pool, trees and ponds on the land behind your house.

Life isn't all fun and games, you have to put some sweat equity into it as well!  To the right of the staircase is an expansive exercise room with windows galore, wall mounted TV and a wall of mirrors to ensure your form is perfect!

Beyond the exercise room is a room where the possibilities are endless! Is it a bedroom?, arts and crafts room?, Christmas storage?, an oversized office?, kids playroom?, ......you decide.  With a darkroom, wide open space and ample closet space this room could be anything you want.  You are only limited by your imagination!

A few other important things to mention - on the east side of the house under the master sitting room is an extra large mechanical equipment room perfect for riding out the tumultuous weather we can have in Oklahoma. Also on the east side of the house hiding under the hot tub/spa is another room great for storing your pool and yard toys.
